Position

WCF is an A Rated insurance carrier that is growing and is looking for an applicant that wants to join a company with a great culture, great benefits, and great employees. We have an immediate opening for someone who can demonstrate the WCF values to join our team as an Underwriting Account Manager supporting the Large Market unit. This is a full-time, non-exempt position that works out of WCF's Sandy, Utah headquarters. This posting is open to internal and external candidates.

Responsibilities

• Support assigned underwriters in the process of receiving, reviewing, documenting, and servicing business to enhance underwriter productivity and provide excellent customer service.
• Prepare new and renewal accounts for underwriter review, including completion of risk analysis worksheets, pricing indications and communications with agency staff within 24 hours of receipt.
• Manage in-force book of business through reports, timely handling of requests within 24 hours, discussions with underwriter and other actions as assigned.
• Bind quotes, update and upload documents as needed.
• Handle agency and customer phone calls and emails.
• Manage system created events, as assigned.
• Provide a high-quality product delivered within service requirements, with a result focus, low error rate, taking accountability and ownership when delivering "completed work".
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

Qualifications

The most qualified candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Prior insurance work experience, underwriting exposure to commercial lines, workers compensation concepts, and multistate, preferred.
• Solid understanding of state and bureau filings, regulatory requirements, and the importance of compliance.
• Strong MS Office skills required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Extraordinary understanding of the customer experience, active listener, inquisitive and curious.
• Ability to work under pressure and without direct supervision.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, manage multiple tasks in a timely manner, excellent attention to detail.
• Demonstrated track record of relationship building and collaboration resulting in favorable business outcomes

Pay for this position is $23.15 to $28.94/hour depending on experience and education.

An internal candidate should have six months in their current position, acceptable job performance, and must notify their current supervisor that they have applied for the position.
