This position applies knowledge to perform professional carpentry and finish carpentry on Layton projects. Duties * Champions "The Layton Way" by delivering predictable outcomes for internal teams, external teams, and customers. * Ensures that "Constructing with Integrity" is delivered by working with honesty, unity, safety, and quality of work. * Frame metal studs and install drywall * Installs architectural finishes according to specifications and plans if necessary, on job. * Maintains a clean and safe job site to ICRA and Company standards. * Reads blueprints to determine measurements, sizes, locations, types of walls, footings, floors, finishes, etc. * Utilizes carpentry math to calculate measurements required to construct facilities. * Applies knowledge of wood and metal finishes. (Finish Carpenters) * Determines elevations and layout through the use of builder levels, transits, lasers, etc. * Interact with facilities and subcontractors in a professional way. * Forms and pours footings and walls, shored decks, and edge form for slabs. * Installs architectural finishes according to specifications and plans if necessary on job. * Reads blueprints to determine measurements, sizes, locations, types of walls, footings, floors, etc. * Applies knowledge of concrete and its properties. * Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications * Has high school diploma or equivalent. * Preferably 2 plus years prior general carpentry experience. * Performs essential duties and responsibilities efficiently, accurately, and safely with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing threat of harm to self or others. * Solves practical problems and deals with a variety of Hospital Construction variables in situations where exact standardization exists; interprets a variety of complex instructions. * Owns the tools required of the Carpenter position. * Understands and conveys basic English commands, questions, and instructions regarding commercial construction. * Commits to and meets all scheduled attendance and production deadlines. * At least 18 years of age.
