Description We are in search of an Accounting Supervisor to join our organization in Sandusky, Ohio. The chosen candidate will play an integral part in overseeing our daily accounting operations and ensuring we adhere to the highest standards of accounting. The role will involve supervising a team of accountants, reviewing financial reports, and collaborating with various departments.

Responsibilities:

• Supervision of daily accounting operations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

• Guiding and mentoring a team of accountants, while also conducting performance evaluations.

• Reviewing and approving journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.

• Assisting in the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements.

• Ensuring compliance with company policies, GAAP, and other financial regulations through the maintenance of internal controls.

• Supporting the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.

• Collaborating with auditors and providing the necessary documentation for internal and external audits.

• Monitoring and analyzing financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

• Assisting in budget preparation and financial planning activities.

• Working cross-functionally with other departments to improve financial processes and efficiency.

• Implementing process improvements and automation initiatives to streamline accounting workflows.

• Staying updated on accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Proven experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Ability to efficiently perform Bank Reconciliations

• Solid understanding of General Ledger maintenance

• Expertise in preparing Journal Entries

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for accounting purposes

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in using Oracle for accounting operations
