Description

CFO opening for an established company in the construction/contractor industry, based in Richmond, VA. In this role, you will be at the helm of all financial operations, guiding corporate accounting activities, and cultivating financial policies and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Guide the execution of all corporate accounting activities.

• Build and implement robust financial policies, procedures, and controls.

• Oversee the organization's insurance program.

• Lead, mentor, and evaluate job cost and billing employees.

• Evaluate financial data to identify potential risks, trends, and areas for improvement.

• Generate and present financial reports to stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting.

• Direct banking and treasury operations.

• Apply expertise in corporate accounting principles and practices.

• Implement cost control strategies and manage expenses effectively.

• Analyze complex financial data and provide valuable insights.

• Ensure all local business licenses are up-to-date.

• Prepare for and execute computer system conversion.

*Contract review and bid negotiations.

Requirements • Expertise in Accounting Software Systems is a must.

• Proficiency in utilizing Business Systems for operational efficiency.

• Thorough understanding and experience in overseeing Accounting Functions.

• Proven track record in Auditing, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

• Familiarity with Budget Processes, creating and managing financial plans.

• Demonstrated skills in Capital Management, maximizing financial resources.

• Knowledge of Cash Flow Analysis, monitoring and managing financial liquidity.

• Experience in Corporate Treasury, managing company's financial operations.

• Ability to prepare and analyze Monthly Financial Statements.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Federal Income Tax regulations.

• Experience in the Construction industry is a strong advantage.
