Job Title:Shift Supervisor - Food Service

Location:SUNY Niagara, Niagara Falls, NY

Pay Rate:$19 - $20 per hour

Employment Type:Seasonal (School Year September - May)

Hours:24-30 hours per week

Availability:Some weekend and evening shifts required

Job Description:

Personal Touch Food Service is seeking a dedicated and experiencedShift Supervisorto join our Food Service team at SUNY Niagara. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations during their shift, ensuring a high level of service, and maintaining a positive dining experience for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff during assigned shifts.

• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.

• Assist in training and onboarding new employees.

• Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.

• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any service issues promptly.

• Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accurate transactions.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Collaborate with the management team to improve service efficiency and quality.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within food service or a related field.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.

• Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as needed.

• Knowledge of food safety regulations is a plus.

• Serve Safe certification
