Position Overview: Our Data Science Innovation team is seeking a visionary Senior Manager to lead our ambitious initiatives. This role is designed for a player coach who excels in the orchestration of DevOps, ML Ops, Infrastructure, Security and API development to support scalable machine learning solutions. The ideal candidate will not only lead our ML engineering efforts but also drive the operational strategy, ensuring our ML systems are robust, scalable, and seamlessly integrated into our product offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and oversee the implementation of end-to-end machine learning operational strategies, including cloud infrastructure, model deployment, performance, and security monitoring of ML models in production.

  • Lead a diverse team of ML engineers, Data Engineers, and DevOps specialists, fostering an environment of innovation, high performance, and collaboration.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of ML and cloud technologies into our products and services, enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency.

  • Define and implement best practices for ML Ops, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, automated testing, and scalable infrastructure solutions.

  • Drive the adoption of cloud technologies and services for ML model training and deployment, optimizing for performance and cost.

  • Champion the development and maintenance of a robust data pipeline to support data ingestion, processing, and model training.

  • Lead the exploration and integration of the latest advancements in ML Ops, Dev Ops, and Cloud Infrastructure and Architecture, keeping Robert Half at the cutting edge of technology.

  • Provide strategic oversight for the technical, security and compliance standards within the ML domain, including infrastructure security, data privacy and model governance.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree (M.S. or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, a related STEM field or equivalent work experience.

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and innovation, with 5+ years of experience in managing high-performing global team of software development teams (12+ direct reports).

  • 10+ years deploying Java, JavaScript, GO, and Python solutions.

  • 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, with a proven track record of deploying and managing ML models in production environments. Expertise in ML Ops, DevOps practices, and API development.

  • 5+ years of experience managing data infrastructure and data pipelines. With 2+ years of experience in creating and owning Data Mesh.

  • 5+ years of experience architecting and owning serverless multi-cloud deployment and provisioning using AWS and Azure.

  • 5+ years of experience building and deploying Docker solutions.

  • 5+ years of experience in network technologies (VPCs).

  • 2+ years of experience designing and architecting Terraform infrastructure.

  • API security and data security minded, with 2+ years of experience using RunScope, JMeter and Secrets Manger to manage and owning teams’ sensitive assets.

  • 2+ years of experience leading QA Test Automation and CI/CD automation using Code Pipeline, Code Build and Code Deploy.

  • 1+ years of experience with Git Hooks and managing pre commit validation.

  • Experience with AWS and Azure budget management.

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Experience with vector databases, relational databases, NLP model deployment, and analysis of large datasets is highly desirable.

  • Experience with clustering, dimensionality reduction, and language model deployment is a plus.

The typical annual salary range for this position is shown below and is negotiable depending upon experience and location. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.

$139,000.00 - $213,000.00
