Job Title: Senior Staff Accountant / Analyst (Temporary to Permanent)

Company Overview: Join a precommercial company currently in its growth phase as a Senior Staff Accountant / Analyst. We are looking for a seasoned professional to support our finance team to start on a temporary basis, with the potential for permanent placement.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department

• Prepare and monitor the company's budgets, forecasts, and cash flow

• Analyze complex financial data to aid decision making

• Support month-end and year-end close process

• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting

• Coordinate activities of external auditors

• Prepare financial reports and ensure data accuracy

• Produce monthly reports, which include key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting

• Spearhead the annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting processes

• Identify potential process improvements to increase the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and forecasting.

  Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or related field. CPA and/or MBA highly preferred.

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP

• Strong analytical skills to analyze complex financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections

• Self-starter and independent thinker, high energy, with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles

• Demonstrated ability to think creatively, strategically, and operationally

• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced knowledge of major accounting software packages for both general ledger and statutory accounting
