Description
One of our technology clients is hiring an interim Accounting manager for their office in San Mateo. The position is a short-term contract employment opportunity where the main tasks include processing client applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. Additionally, the role involves monitoring customer accounts and implementing appropriate actions.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the month-end close process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger for the U.S. subsidiary.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and conduct journal entries, including inter-company transactions.
• Arrange the commissions schedule and synchronize payroll.
• Lead and provide guidance to the finance team.
• Work with auditors for the annual financial audit.
• Apply skills in Concur, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, Billing Functions, Dynamics 365 Business Central, Fixed Asset Accounting, Prepaid Expense, Prepaid Assets, Lease Accounting, Inter-company Accounting, Reconcile Payroll, and Commissions Accounting.
Requirements • Minimum 7 years of experience in a managerial role within the IT Software industry
• Proficiency in using expense management software
• Solid experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Demonstrated knowledge of auditing principles and practices
• Expertise in handling billing functions efficiently
• Proficient in using business central software for finance and operations
• Experience in Fixed Asset Accounting, including depreciation and disposal of assets
• Familiarity with Prepaid Expense and Prepaid Assets accounting
• Experience in Lease Accounting, including lease liability and right-of-use asset calculations
• Proficiency in Intercompany Accounting, including reconciling intercompany transactions
• Ability to reconcile payroll accurately and timely
• Experience in Commissions Accounting, including calculating and processing sales commissions
• Strong communication and leadership skills to manage and guide the accounting team effectively
