The Recovery Resolutions Supervisor will support certified medical coders or recovery resolutions representatives that will provide coding and coding auditing services directly to providers. This includes the analysis and translation of medical and clinical diagnoses, procedures, injuries, or illnesses into designated numerical codes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Sets team direction, resolves problems and provides guidance to members of own team

  • Oversees work activities of medical coders or recovery resolutions representatives

  • Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges

  • Influences or provides input to forecasting and planning activities

  • Leverage pertinent data to identify and solve a range of problems

  • Examine, assess, and document business operations and procedures to ensure data integrity, data security, and process optimization

  • Leverage solid communication skills (verbal, non-verbal, and written) with a demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely with peers, superiors, subordinates, members, and providers

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of staff

  • Set priorities for the team to ensure task completion and performance goals are met

  • Provide coaching and constructive feedback to team members

  • Employee will be required to completed the Coding Academy

  • Other duties or projects may apply

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY ASSESSMENT WILL BE REQUIRED AFTER APPLICATION

Required Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with an active, unrestricted Puerto Rico license or an active Certified Professional Coder (CPC)

  • 2+ years of experience managing or supervising employees in a metrics and data driven environment

  • 2+ years of experience in a production environment within the healthcare industry

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills: Microsoft Excel (ability to sort, sum, insert bar graphs and use formulas) , Microsoft Word (ability to create documents and complete mail merging), Microsoft Outlook (ability to manage email, calendar, and task lists), and Microsoft PowerPoint (ability to create presentations with images, words, charts / graphs and merging data from Microsoft Excel)

  • Bilingual Spanish/English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project management experience

  • Demonstrated inventory management skills
