Boys and Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico DEVELOPMENT ACCOUNT MANAGER in San Juan, Puerto Rico

The Corporate Accounts Specialist is responsible for identifying companies whose social responsibility is aligned with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico’s mission to ensure partnerships and funding opportunities. Will be responsible for supporting and implementing the annual corporate fundraising plan that includes, but is not limited to corporate partnerships, fundraising efforts, special events and campaigns. For which, will manage sales meetings, develop proposals, in addition to cultivation, stewardship and retention efforts. The Specialist will partner closely with the Manager of Corporate and Cause Partnerships, the Program team, Development colleagues, senior leadership, board members, advisory board members and donors. The position will report to the Manager of Corporate and Cause Partnerships.

ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Will develop and implement corporate sales as part of the organization's fundraising plan, which includes, but is not limited to: identification of new corporate prospects, solicitation of sponsorships, retain and grow current partners.

  2. Identifies funding opportunities by carrying out persuasive approaches and effective corporate fundraising strategies to ensure the organization's income goals.

  3. Provide strategic, targeted account management and excellent customer service.

  4. Develops and manages the stewardship plan (thank you letters, recognition of corporate donors, etc.) for the maintenance and renewal of donors.

  5. Conduct industries analysis in order to identify companies which are best fit for potential partnerships, and develop sector-specific approach plans.

  6. Manage and organize data in physical and digital files (donor software) of corporate investors.

  7. Participate in the development of tailored proposals for corporate partners and foundations that align to the organization’s strategic priorities and provide appropriate a level of recognition to donors.

  8. Assist in establishing department’s fundraising goals, ensure funder database records are up-to-date, and aid in preparation of analytical reports to measure progress toward fundraising goals for BGCPR leadership

  9. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: College degree with a preference in Business, Communications, Marketing or Public Affairs. With 1 (1) to three (3) years of experience working with either foundations or companies, with results in terms of new partnerships and grants or comparable experience. Experience with both foundations and corporations desired. Experience engaging corporate employees in pro bono opportunities a plus.
