Liberty Latin America Billing Analyst Developer in San Juan, Puerto Rico

What´s the role?

We are seeking a skilled Billing Analyst Developer to join our BSS team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining billing systems, analyzing billing data, and implementing solutions to optimize billing processes. This role requires a strong understanding of telecom billing systems, programming languages, and database management. The Billing Analyst Developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate billing, resolve billing-related issues, and support the company's growth initiatives.

How can you add value?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, customize, and maintain billing systems and applications to meet business requirements and regulatory standards.

  • Analyze billing data and identify opportunities to improve billing processes, reduce errors, and enhance efficiency.

  • Design and implement billing system enhancements, including new features, functionality, and integrations with other systems.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including finance, IT, and customer service teams, to gather requirements and prioritize development tasks.

  • Conduct testing and debugging of billing system software to ensure accuracy, reliability, and performance.

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to internal teams and external customers regarding billing system issues.

  • Create and maintain documentation, including technical specifications, user manuals, and training materials, for billing system components and processes

What do you need?

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in telecom billing systems, such as Java, C++, Python, or bash script.

  • Strong database management skills, including SQL querying and database design principles.

  • Experience with billing system platforms, such as Amdocs, Oracle Billing,Cerillion, Ericsson or similar BSS solutions.

  • Proficiency in advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis tools, to manipulate and analyze billing data effectively.

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools, such as JIRA or Confluence, preferred.

  • Knowledge of telecom industry regulations and standards, including billing practices and compliance requirements, is a plus.
