Modern Aviation is looking for a quality Aviation Maintenance Technician (A&P) to join our growing team. We need a technician that can fit in quickly, have a positive attitude, and have General Aviation and Corporate experience.

Primary Purpose of the position

Modern Aviation Aircraft Detailing provides professional aircraft detailing services in Puerto Rico (TJIG, SJU, TJVR) and various locations. We have been in business since 2004 offering top-quality aircraft cleaning and detailing services to general and commercial aviation aircraft.

• Wet Wash
• Dry Wash
• Exterior Wax
• Exterior Paint Rejuvenation
• Brightwork Metal Polishing
• De-Ice Boot Refurbishment
• Complete Interior Detail
• Dry Cleaning Carpet & Upholstery
• Carpet & Upholstery Extraction
• Leather Cleaning & Conditioning
• Stain Removal
• Wood & Trim Polishing
• Lavatory & Galley Sanitation

This is a full-time opportunity that will report to work primarily at Modern Aviation HQ in Isla Grande Airport TJIG San Juan, Puerto Rico, with travel in company vehicles to regional airports. The job entails performing many cleaning and detailing services on various aircraft with 7 days a week service; the schedule will require some flexibility as schedules do vary. Occasionally travel regionally will require overnight accommodations which are provided by the company.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be able to lift 50lbs
• Be comfortable working with hand tools
• Be comfortable with heights
• Be able to be on your feet for extended periods of time without limitation of lying down, kneeling, bending, or working around all parts of an aircraft.
• Be safety minded, wear safety clothing including safety glasses, Steel toe boots and gloves.
• Have a level of professionalism
• Be detail oriented
• Have a valid Driver's License
• Be able to work in a team environment
• Be able to take direction from a superior
• Be able to legally work in the United States
• Pass necessary drug and background checks

Reports to: Director of Maintenance

Supervisory Responsibility: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

FLSA Status: This position is nonexempt.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers. This position requires various tasks performed in all types of weather conditions.

Travel: This position requires minimal travel.

Physical Requirements: Physically able to perform frequent walking, sitting, stooping, stretching, bending, reaching, and grasping actions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions including extreme heat and cold. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud. May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
