As a Senior Accountant, you will prepare and consolidate financial statements, analyze and reconcile accounts, analyze cash flow, produce budgets and forecasting, prepare audits, and handle internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant role is with a company in the Semiconductors, Electric Component Manu field and is located in San Jose, California.
Responsibilities
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Requirements - 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Detailed and have the ability work independently
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Skilled with ERP systems
Strong time management skills preferred
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued
Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well
Financial statement preparation experience desired
Foundational knowledge in Fixed Asset Accounting
Property Tax Returns experience
Experience with Footnote Preparation
Knowledge of Analyze Financial Statements
Notable analytical, quantitative and social skills
