Cisco Silicon Product Operations New Product Program Manager in San Jose, California

Meet the Team

As part of the team you (NPPM), collaborate with operations engineering, fulfillment operations, quality, sourcing, product operations, and other key supply chain partners. This is a key role in facilitating the development of NPI program plans and schedules, driving, and supervising all NPI activities to closure. This role will also provide program updates views to Executive Management to communicate progress and highlight issues.

  • Primary contact for project tracking, driving, and leading all items related to the NPI launch of Silicon One devices, in partnership with Operations, ASIC Design, Quality, Trade and Legal Compliance teams

  • Manage Test boards schedule, BOMs and bring-up while partnering with Supply Chain project managers, Product Operations, HW engineering teams and Contract Manufacturers

  • Be the primary contact facing internal system teams building SiOne ASIC into their products

  • Partner with Engineering & Quality teams to scope and build robust NPI project plans.

  • Partner with Silicon Operations Manufacturing and Fulfillment team to scope and build robust production ramp plans.

  • Drive and supervise key readiness metrics Cost, Quality and Delivery

  • Drive PLC landmarks including BOM, supplier quotes, ramp plans, risk production plans, test capacity ramp planning, test maturity readiness, Qualification readiness and supply chain resiliency readiness.

  • Adhere to Cisco tools and processes and drive continuous improvement projects

  • Develop risk mitigation plans to ensure HW is delivered in time, make considerations for buffer quantities due to long Lead Time for BOM components

Your Impact

You’re an analytical thinker, highly collaborative, and have a successful track record of engaging with cross functional teams across multiple geographic theaters and can thrive in a highly dynamic cross functional team. You bring deep knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures from the semiconductor industry. You are comfortable working with highly skilled guides across key semiconductor manufacturing engineering domains.

Minimum Requirements For The Role

  • 8+ years demonstrated ability and success in leading semiconductor NPI projects and driving solutions throughout the product’s production ramp.

  • Knowledge of New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle management and supply chain management requirements at each phase of the development and manufacturing process cycle.

  • Experience with program management tools (i.e. Visio, MS Project), preparing presentations (i.e. PowerPoint), and you have knowledge of collaboration tools such as Cisco WebEx and MS Office suite of apps (i.e. OneDrive, OneNote, SharePoint), or equivalent.

  • Experience with Excel, and other data gathering (i.e. Smartsheet) and analytics tools (i.e. Tableau, MS Power Apps)

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS degree in engineering or equivalent field. Master's degree is a plus

  • Experience modeling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques

  • High energy with ability to motivate and encourage others.

  • Self-motivated and committed to continual learning.

  • Work well in a globally distributed team environment.
