Robert Half Receptionist in San Jose, California

Description We are seeking a skilled Receptionist to join our team in the accounting industry located in San Jose, California. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity where you will be crucial in managing administrative tasks and providing support to our staff personnel and partners.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure efficient processing of customer credit applications.

• Maintain a high level of accuracy in customer credit records.

• Resolve customer inquiries promptly and with a detail-oriented attitude.

• Monitor customer accounts closely and take necessary action when needed.

• Manage incoming calls on a multi-line phone system, and assist visitors with a detail-oriented and courteous attitude.

• Keep track of scheduling client appointments as required.

• Handle check and credit card payments over the phone.

• Assist in preparing written client correspondence as requested.

• Oversee the assembly and review of final tax returns and financial statement packages before delivery to clients.

• Take responsibility for in-taking tax documents and setting up new clients following firm protocol.

• Organize, scan, and file client documents as per firm protocol.

• Take charge of maintaining the detail-oriented appearance of office common areas.

• Order office supplies as necessary.

• Perform any other duties as assigned. Requirements • Proficiency in QuickBooks is necessary for managing financial records and transactions.

• Previous experience in Administrative Assistance is required for effective office management.

• Knowledge of Lacerte Tax Software is a must for handling tax-related tasks.

• Familiarity with Sage Accounting Software is required for efficient accounting operations.

• Experience with Peachtree Accounting Software is needed for comprehensive financial management.

• Ability to prepare Individual Tax Returns is essential during the tax season.

• Experience in managing Receptionist Duties such as attending to visitors and handling inquiries.

• Excellent Email Communications skills are necessary for detail-oriented correspondence.
