About the Role:

Altera is looking for a talented and experienced Head of Talent Planning to lead the strategic direction and execution of Altera’s hiring and talent planning efforts. You will be responsible for managing recruitment and talent vendors, recruiting staff, and overseeing college relations, intern, and rotation programs, developing innovative systems and tools, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and building a strong employer brand that attracts top talent. You will also partner with various stakeholders and business leaders to align the talent acquisition goals with the business strategies and customer requirements.

In Q4 2023, Intel announced Altera will be reported as a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024 with ongoing support from Intel. This position is associated to that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future.

Responsibilities:

  • Set the direction and strategy for the Talent Acquisition function to support the hiring demands in addition to proactively driving innovation across the team and integrating global strategies where needed.

  • Showcase expertise in local market for talent sources and support translating business strategies and customer requirements into the hiring plan to achieve Talent Acquisition department objectives.

  • Deliver innovative systems/tools in support of executing to local hiring plans.

  • Ensure all posted roles, systems/processes/tools used, and our talent acquisition function overall, reflect adherence to local regulations and compliances.

  • Manage, coach, and develop members of the Talent Acquisition team.

  • Set prioritized goals and metrics to measure the growth and performance of the Talent Acquisition team.

  • Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the recruiting funnel, from candidate attraction and engagement to selection (CRM), pre hire check, offer, and onboarding.

  • Develop relationships with third-party recruitment agencies and staffing firms and manage the procurement and measurement process.

  • Work closely with a large number of stakeholders and partners (e.g., Human Resources, Business) to develop hiring plans and deliver the talent that will drive Altera’s growth, at the right place and time.

  • Develop and execute an effective employer branding strategy that communicates the company's values, culture, mission, and unique selling points to prospective candidates.

  • Develop and execute targeted recruitment marketing campaigns aligned with talent acquisition goals and attracts candidates for key roles or projects.

  • Enable teams to execute through clear goal setting, facilitating work, maintaining accountability, applying differentiated performance management and driving team results.

  • Oversee college relations, intern, rotation programs, recruiting, and DEI to ensure a pipeline of diverse and qualified talent for future hiring needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business, or related field.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in talent acquisition, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role.

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing talent acquisition strategies, systems, and tools that deliver high-quality results.

  • Strong knowledge of local market trends, talent sources, and best practices in talent acquisition.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with various stakeholders and partners.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to drive decision making and continuous improvement.

  • Creative and innovative mindset, with the ability to think outside the box and generate new ideas.

  • Passionate about creating a positive and engaging candidate and employee experience.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $195,317.00-$341,559.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
