Robert Half Payroll Clerk in San Jose, California

Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Clerk in San Jose, California. This role is vital to our operation in the Accounting Software Systems industry, where you will be required to manage and maintain various functions related to payroll processing and auditing. You will be the key point of contact for payroll related inquiries and will have the opportunity to utilize and enhance your skills in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Dayforce, About Time, Accounting Functions, Auditing, Benefit Functions, and Paycom.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate and efficient processing of payroll using various accounting software systems.

• Regular auditing of payroll records to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Utilizing ADP - Financial Services and Dayforce for financial transactions and workforce management.

• Managing and updating employee payroll records in About Time system.

• Handling payroll related inquiries and providing appropriate solutions.

• Monitoring employee benefits and ensuring accurate benefit deductions in payroll.

• Conducting regular checks and balances to ensure accounting functions are performed accurately.

• Utilizing Paycom for effective payroll management and employee data management.

• Collaborating with the accounting team to ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately.

• Proactively identifying and resolving payroll discrepancies. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with Dayforce software

• Knowledge of About Time software

• Ability to perform Accounting Functions

• Auditing skills

• Understanding of Benefit Functions

• Experience with Paycom software

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Willingness to stay updated with changes in payroll laws and regulations

• Proven ability to meet deadlines

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
