IBM IMS Integrity and Security Full Stack Developer in San Jose, California

Introduction

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented full stack developer to join our team to focus on software integrity and security. In this role, you will ensure that our software is secure, reliable, and resilient against unauthorized access and vulnerabilities. You will work closely with our development teams to design, implement, and maintain solutions that uphold the highest standards of security and integrity throughout the software development lifecycle. This is a high impact and high visibility role that will involve effectively managing stakeholders and delivering critical solutions in a timely manner. The right candidate will be able to effectively communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

  • Experience in software development with a strong focus on security and/or integrity

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

  • Documentation skills

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Experience architecting complex, cross-subsystem middleware solutions

  • Strong knowledge and experience working with IMS

  • Strong knowledge and experience working with mainframes and z/OS

  • Knowledge and experience working with C++, IBM High Level Assembler, PL/X, and/or COBOL

  • Knowledge of reverse engineering, exploit mitigation techniques, and penetration testing

  • Solid understanding of secure coding principles and security protocols

  • Experience with vulnerability assessment tools, such as static and dynamic code analysis tools (e.g. SonarQube, OWASP ZAP, [1] Mend.io)
