Our client, a leading manufacturer, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician IV to join their team. As a Facilities Maintenance Technician IV, you will be part of the operations team supporting the Central Utility Plant. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to maintenance which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician IV

Location: San Jose, CA

Pay Range: $36.00+ DOE

Schedule: 5:45pm to 6:15am every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Saturday.

What's the Job?

• Perform building operations, preventive maintenance, and basic equipment repairs on Central Utility Plant equipment such as boilers, chillers, and air compressors.

• Monitor systems and respond to calls from business units, dispatching maintenance personnel as necessary.

• Conduct basic repairs and installations of piping systems including welding, soldering, and gluing various types of pipes.

• Inspect major site systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.

• Participate in building automation monitoring and alarm response to ensure optimal operations.

What's Needed?

• Experience in utility plant maintenance, specifically with boilers, chillers, and compressors.

• Knowledge of industrial machinery, chilled water systems, and HVAC operations.

• Ability to perform corrective maintenance and basic troubleshooting.

• Proficiency in piping techniques including TIG welding, PVC, and soldering.

• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
