Job Description:
This job is responsible for executing highly complex and sensitive corporate security activities essential to protecting the safety of employees and bank facilities. Key responsibilities include conducting behavioral threat assessments, oversight of the bank’s security preparedness, and management of the bank’s security technology and applications.
Regional Threat Managers identify, assess, and manage incidents of workplace violence for a large geographical area. Provide solutions to highly complex problems having long range impact. Engage in challenging and sensitive issues requiring an understanding of human behavior, and de-escalates volatile situations with empathy and compassion. Provide education, awareness, implementation, and incident response for their perspective area of responsibility. Understanding behavioral threat assessment, recognize warning signs of potential future violence and develop sound mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with the bank’s policies around acceptable behavior in the workplace and have familiarity with other applicable federal, state and local regulations, laws and ordinances. Develop and maintain effective, active working relationships with primary clients, strategic business partners and team members and actively fosters an environment of teamwork. Provide leadership to business partners in fast paced, stressful situations. Work independently and have the ability to make rapid, sound decisions. Document investigative results in an articulate manner that justifies and supports decision making. Meets all objectives of the corporate security program and addresses any unplanned events.
Responsibilities:
Conduct behavioral threat assessments and assist in developing mitigation plans
Work with cross-functional teams to prevent instances of workplace violence
Write comprehensive reports detailing investigative findings
Comfortable with critical decision making in fast paced and uncertain situations
Deliver effective, clear and concise communication
Provide trainings to employees and business partners regarding workplace violence prevention
On-call 24/7 to support the team as needed during crisis/security related events.
Partners on development of threat management and workplace violence training
Conducts elevated security exercises, including red team assessments, to drive a threat vulnerability assessment within the risk framework
Provides oversight of Video Systems Management, ATM security, Physical Identity Access Management and Security Systems Credential Management
Manages Life Safety program implementation across a broad geography

Required Qualifications:
Must have at least 10+ yrs combined of prior threat management experience, military, law enforcement, mental health, or human resources background.
Prior management in handling Workplace Violence Prevention and how to manage threats of violence
Understand complex investigative processes
Strong interview skills
Basic knowledge of human behavior and mental health concerns
Strong public speaking skills and the ability to provide educational information to large audiences
Strong Computer Skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Desired Qualifications:
Member of Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP)
Has or ability to obtain the ATAP Certified Threat Manager (CTM)
Familiarity with structured professional judgement tools
Minimum Education Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
