Meta System Architecture Engineer in San Francisco, California

Summary:

The System Architecture Engineer will autonomously lead system development and implementation for Meta’s $8 billion+ global Design, Construction, and Engineering organization, working closely with business leaders to understand the needs and to develop the strategy and deliverables for tooling and data solutions.This position is responsible for supporting the 5-7 year product lifecycle across a variety of systems primarily from system design solution through implementation leveraging an understanding of business drivers, systems expertise, and program management to improve efficiency and deliver business solutions.

Required Skills:

System Architecture Engineer Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and evolve system architecture for complex business applications

  2. Autonomously maintain and develop business solutions through the use of internal and commercial applications (Unifier, Primavera P6, Gateway, and Fusion)

  3. Work with business leaders and stakeholders in developing strategy and implementation of business solutions

  4. Map business processes to user specifications, use cases, user stories, and application walkthroughs - providing technical input and feasibility guidance throughout early analysis in collaboration with program managers

  5. Develop functional descriptions for system and sub-system solutions based on business requirements and process maps - including User Interface workflow and system architecture - reflecting the business logic

  6. Lead updates, modifications, testing, and delivery of functional solutions within new or existing systems, including integrations within application, across applications and between functional and data modules, in partnership with business users, data engineers, enterprise engineers, and program managers

  7. Contribute to functional roadmaps and goals by evaluating new and existing systems

  8. Provide functional expertise to architect systems and processes to enable robust backend data architecture, data integrity, and data analytics

  9. Create low-code automated procedures to scale and operationalize business processes

  10. Build functional stakeholder engagement models and processes that evolve to meet business needs over time

  11. Provide reporting and communication to stakeholders on system solutions and implementation

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS or equivalent in information systems, engineering, construction management, or relevant work experience

  2. 5+ years of overall technical experience working with Technical Program Managers, System Integrators/System Analysts, or similar roles delivering large-scale system and software development programs and projects from conception through implementation

  3. Proven success in architecting and implementing design/construction systems using business applications (such as Unifier, Primavera P6, Procore, Autodesk ACC, Google AppSheets, and other similar tools.) and applying data visualization (eg Tableau) autonomously across a global organization

  4. Proven success with change management

  5. Proven success with various communication strategies, presentations, and analytical skills

  6. Proven success with program management techniques

  7. Proven success collaborating with cross-functional partners across a global organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with BIM (ex: Autodesk ACC, Autodesk APS, etc.) or VDC automation

  2. Experience in Data Center Construction , Network Topology, or Infrastructure industries

  3. Project Management (PMP) or Six Sigma Certification

  4. Master's Degree in Business, Computer Science, or similar

  5. Experience collaborating with Business Intelligence or Data Engineering professionals

  6. Experience with integration engineering

Public Compensation:

$91,000/year to $143,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
