Avispa Technology Supply Chain Director in San Francisco, California

Supply Chain Director 2725552 A leading medical institution is seeking a Supply Chain Director. The successful candidate will provide leadership to four campuses in the supply chain function while focusing on the three priorities of innovation, activation, and analytics. The ideal candidate has supply chain operations experience at a large health system or academic medical center. Supply Chain Director Pay and Benefits: * Hourly pay: $85/hr * Worksite: Leading medical institution (San Francisco, CA 94143 - Hybrid, 3 days onsite (variable locations) and 2 days remote) * W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL * 40 hours/week, 6 Month Assignment Supply Chain Director Responsibilities: * Vendor Management : Identify and nurture partnerships with vendors that optimize our position as a premier healthcare facility. Set clear, market competitive expectations with the vendors and collaborate with the vendors to meet those metrics. Manage $350 million in supply and goods spend. * Human Resources: Lead and motivate a large, diverse, and dynamic workforce of approximately 200 FTEs including managers, analysts and supervisors. Translate organizational vision to front-line action. Recruit, develop, and mentor the Supply Chain managers and supervisors by defining needs through strengths and assessments * Project Management: Facilitate large & small groups through problem definition, hypothesis, analysis, current state, and future state. Direct the development of clear and actionable implementation plans. Oversee project progression and successful execution. * Committee Participation: Chair and serve on a variety of committees vital to supply chain and enterprise efficacy. * Logistics & Supply Distribution: In partnership with a large outsourcer, manage all supply logistics from warehouse to distribution to point-of consumption. Create a scaled logistics and distribution system that acknowledges the limited real estate at the dock and within the clinical environment, optimizes inventory management, and leverages the expertise of the distribution partner. * Technology: Leverage ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), supply chain, analytics and AGV (Automated Guided Vehicles) technologies to map and manage the entire supply chain. * Respond to other ad hoc issues, priorities, and initiatives the Health System is undergoing at any given time. In the event of a crisis, disaster or like event, respond quickly and effectively, with the ability to triage, involve stakeholders, and mobilize resources quickly. Supply Chain Director Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree, Master's is preferred. * Supply chain operations experience at a large health system or academic medical center. * End-to-end supply chain leadership experience, including logistics, procurement, and change management. * Varied and continuous experience working in a large-scale IDN, servicing patients of varying acuities is preferred. * Experience working with physicians, C-Suite, finance, and the ability to manage up and down an organization is preferred. * Knowledge of Supply Chain principles, processes, practices, and technologies and how these apply in a clinical environment to support a complex healthcare delivery system. * A strong presence that facilitates effectiveness in a complex organization through a direct management and influence model. Capability of developing business cases and balanced advocacy for imperatives to meet the customer needs. * Knowledge of principles and practices of Lean in a healthcare and supply chain environment. Knowledge of principles and practices of organization, management, budgeting, finance, human resources, and project management necessary to plan, coordinate, and direct diverse activities for the organization. * Fluent in the collective bargaining agreement the University shares with AFSCME, Mckesson supply chain management ERP Software, GHX (Global Healthcare Exchange) supply chain functions and interfaces. * Ability to work across functional boundaries and to bring disciplines together to integrate work processes and ideas in a matrixed organization. * An empathetic demeanor and mindset, particularly in regard to the patients and for the staff. The ability to maintain underlying principles while adjusting management style to the various constituent environments. * Responsible for the development of efficient and effective processes to support the operational needs of the department while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Expected to review process, policy and procedure to recommend alternatives for maximum efficiency. * Superior analytical skills for the preparation of product demand forecasts, financial profitability of products and inventory management issues. * Superior process improvement, written and oral communication, business partnering, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to build and manage successful teams. * Knowledge of TJC standards, best practices and other extensive knowledge of regulatory agencies is preferred. Supply Chain Director Shift: * Monday to Friday from 08:00 am to 05:00 pm. * Must be able to work hybrid in variable locations.
