Job Description
Note: targeting candidates with FinTech, Retail and/or B2B experience
The Strategist, Connections Strategy provides cross-channel, data-driven marketing strategy development to reach our clients’ key audiences. This role is responsible for helping to craft ongoing program and campaign strategies and assist in discovering opportunities for the client’s direct digital marketing programs. These programs will support complete customer lifecycles: pre-purchase to post-purchase to ongoing engagement and loyalty.
The ideal candidate should have experience building consumer engagement strategies through addressable/owned channels including email, push, direct messaging, and others. Experience across the full lifecycle from conception and proposal through creative briefing, production and insights reporting is desired.
Primary Responsibilities:
Identify Owned Channel Strategies: Develop owned-channel recommendations across email, push, direct messaging, and other owned channels to enhance overall performance across client lines-of-business including insight definition, audience approach, program strategy, creative briefing, and performance/reporting insights
Creative Briefing: Develop insightful creative briefs to provide focus and direction to creative teams responsible for developing channel-specific and overall campaign/program assets
Thought Leadership and Competitive Intelligence : Support ongoing industry and competitive intelligence activity to drive program opportunity identification
Reporting Insights: Partner with Data Science/analytics to elevate performance observations into actionable recommendations built on data
Client Business Immersion: Develop a deep understanding of the clients’ category and unique business dynamics within the category
Qualifications
As a guide, 3-5 years developing owned-channel marketing programs (including email, push, direct messaging, and other owned channels) at an agency, consultancy or within a marketing department
Familiarity with all addressable/owned channels and programs, including email, push, SMS, web personalization, direct mail
Mining of an audience database for insights to drive database growth
Familiarity with deploying and managing automated direct marketing platforms/solutions
Skill Requirements:
Self-starter with the ability to pick up a project and move it forward with direction from the team and clients
Collaborate cross-functionally in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Write insightful creative briefs and help steward the creative process
Originate and edit presentations to create excitement and sell ideas
Conversant in performance analysis, test design, data actionability and their impact on marketing activation across channels
Comfortable operating in an ambiguous and dynamic environment

Compensation Range: $64,500 - $97,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
