The Sr. Director, Marketing Program & Project Management is a role focused on developing, managing, and scaling processes that deliver key initiatives across our Marketing teams and be a key liaison to other strategic parts of the Cisco business! You will lead and own the processes, tools, and change management plans as it relates to the Marketing PMO at Cisco for the Customer Solutions Marketing team. Processes will need to coordinate closely with Go To Market, Strategy, Product, Content, Brand, Customer, Events, and Operations teams to deliver against key priority programs.

You will play a key role in constantly improving the efficiency and scale of the entire organization’s delivery to market and impact to business health. Your success in this role will enable our leadership to remain focused on their strategic business goals. This role is remote but must work west coast hours and reports to the VP of Strategic Planning and Operations!

What You'll Do

  • Orchestrate the team’s business planning functions and milestones, managing project execution and budget to ensure we’re properly deploying resources and facilitating internal collaboration and communication to key stakeholders on various marketing programs

  • Create a vision for Marketing PMO at Cisco, maintain an agile operating model, and maintain the change management process

  • Must have a strong understanding of marketing roles, and what’s needed to support marketing campaigns, asset and communications creation, event coordination, product launches, field enablement, reporting, and more

  • Build and develop and coach a of program and project managers

  • Identify and plan to improve areas needing process optimization to contribute to growth solutions that help us scale our business value

  • Align key internal stakeholders on marketing project timelines and dependencies via proactive internal communication, alignment, accountability, and enforcement of processes

  • Own and facilitate strategy, marketing plan and blueprinting processes. Instill discipline and consistency across the marketing team through clear operational methodologies and documentation

  • Oversee team in delivering excellence on key duties like:

  • Managing our sprint methodology to execute against our marketing plan and priorities

  • Owning weekly Steering Committee meetings with our senior leadership team, in close partnership with the Chief of Staff to the SVP of Customer Solutions Marketing

  • Creating and optimizing execution processes and documentation in highly matrixed organization

  • Training and communication of change management plans

  • Be a key influencer for all processes for business operations, product operations, and obtaining business value from strategic initiatives

  • Instill discipline and consistency across the marketing team through clear operational methodologies and documentation

Who You Are

  • You have 10+ years Marketing project management and strong communication, organization and leadership skills

  • You have a clear vision of what a PMO Center of Excellence looks like and have created a PMO in the past

  • Experience running Steering Committees and implementing agile marketing methodologies in a highly matrixed Marketing team

  • PMP, CSM, or Certificate of Project Management preferred

  • Experience working within or closely with a B2B marketing organization; technology industry, software/SaaS, security or networking industry experience a plus

  • Good communication, diplomatic problem-solving, and facilitation skills

  • Experience working with highly distributed and matrixed teams and remote working environments

  • Comfortable executing and leading through periods of ambiguity and change

  • Excel at rapid decision-making, consensus building and conflict resolution, all within the context of a fast paced, dynamic environment and the need to deliver results

  • Extract energy from everything mentioned above, and in the drive to succeed in a collaborative, fast-paced, and high-growth environment with dedicated, mission-oriented people
