The Alexa team is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to help third-party developers integrate their products and services with Alexa. In this role, you will be the technical face of Amazon, working closely with top-tier third-party brands and developers to help shape the future of voice-driven experiences powered by Alexa. You will own key technical relationships with senior technical leaders/CxO in those organizations and be a hands-on architect and adviser throughout the lifecycle of their integration efforts.

You must have hands-on development experience as well as experience working with third-party or external partners as a consultant, evangelist, solution architect, sales engineer, or pre-sales engineer. You must possess a blend of deep technical experience, customer facing skills, and the ability to align technology solutions to business challenges, with a commitment to driving mutually successful outcomes for Alexa customers and third-party developers.

You must be able to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges and map the intersection of partner needs and Amazon priorities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer engagement and communication skills as well as the ability to provide guidance and earn credibility with technologists and developers at all levels, from students to CIOs.

Key job responsibilities

• Provide technical consultation to product and engineering teams at strategic partners to facilitate the integration of their content and services with Alexa

• Educate partners of all sizes on the Alexa service and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure their solutions are designed for successful deployment

• Manage complex projects with significant bottom-line impact, executive visibility, and reach to millions of users

• Develop compelling presentations and demonstrations of new Amazon technologies for senior decision makers

• Partner with Amazon business development managers to identify leads for new potential partnerships

• Actively identify opportunities to deliver experiences that demonstrate what is possible with Alexa integrations

• Document and share best practices and build reference architectures, frameworks, and toolkits to accelerate high-quality Alexa integrations

• Distill platform requirements from partners to inform Alexa product team roadmaps

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience

• 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

• Experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or consulting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries

• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud

• Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $204,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
