Required Skills:

Software Engineer Responsibilities:

  1. Research, design, develop, build and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for large distributed components that run our applications.

  2. Build new features and improve existing products.

  3. Push code.

  4. Drive the development of the systems behind our products.

  5. Create web applications that reach billions of people.

  6. Build high volume servers.

  7. Develop relevant product area, codebase, or systems.

  8. Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis, programming and software engineering.

  9. Produce high quality code with good test coverage.

  10. Use modern abstractions and frameworks.

  11. Master internal development standards from developing to releasing code.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or foreign equivalent) and 48 months of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Requires 48 months of experience in the following skills:

    1. C, C++, Java, or C#
    1. Python, PHP, or Haskell
    1. Relational databases
    1. SQL
    1. Code editors including VIM or Emacs
    1. Revision control systems including Subversion, GIT, or Perforce
    1. Linux, UNIX, or other *nix-like OS
    1. HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
    1. Highly-scalable performant solutions
    1. Data processing, programming languages, databases, networking, operating systems, computer graphics, or human-computer interaction
    1. Applying algorithms and core computer science concepts to real world systems as evidenced by recognizing and matching patterns from different areas of computer science in production systems
    1. Distributed systems.

Public Compensation:

$217,082/year to $240,240/year + bonus + equity + benefits
