Assist with tunnel and shaft design and review contractor submittals. Conduct Seismic response analysis, liquefaction analysis and ground deformation analysis. Carry out geotechnical design and reporting (engineering, data, and baseline reports) for assigned projects using geotechnical analysis software for stability analysis, seepage analysis, shoring analysis and site response analysis. Review historic and contract documents to summarize geological and structural information and to identify any gaps in the available data and what information is required for future repairs. Utilize oral and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients. Position may include additional duties that utilize the required skills. Position requires incidental travel to company's Walnut Creek office, as well as unanticipated construction and field sites within the San Jose- San Francisco-Oakland combined Statistical Area. Telecommuting permitted up to 60%; employee must reside within normal commuting distance of company's office in San Francisco, California. Qualifications: Requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related field, and three months of experience in: Implementing data management to assist with geological and geotechnical analyses. Applying the understanding of basic geologic concepts, including sedimentology and stratigraphy, to theoretical and engineering analyses. Reviewing and collecting topographic and subsurface information pertinent to various projects. Developing data and information visualization to assist in geological and geotechnical engineering analyses and report preparation. Assisting in the preparation of reports or technical memorandums by interpreting data and engineering calculations. Will accept paid or unpaid internship, research or co-op experience gained during academic studies. Position requires incidental travel to company's Walnut Creek office, as well as unanticipated
