The successful candidate in this role will own the Customer and Financial forecast modeling for AMU, support the business strategy by driving business decisions through their insights and analysis, and analyze and measure performance.

The successful candidate will have the ability to tackle multiple projects and efficiently execute deliverables, is a self-starter with strong business and financial modeling skills, has a keen attention to detail and good track record of influencing business partners. The candidate will also have operated successfully in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, and problem-solve.
Key job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Partner with business teams to value propositions
Develop business cases to support all major financial decisions
Prepare financial metrics, financial analysis, and financial reporting
Manage a global financial and business forecast model, drive automation efforts
Develop, maintain and enhance finance controllership via models, reports, and processes
Demonstrate the ability to manage competing priorities & providing level-headed guidance during unexpected events
Root cause opportunities for improvement using data, then assisting the Amazon Music team to take action on your findings
A day in the life
Envision modeling the customer and financial forecast for a music streaming business during planning cycles, analyzing performance vs. plan and providing insights to Marketing and Product Leads. Envision speaking with various business partners on topics ranging from developing new operational mechanisms to strategizing the next segment of focus aimed to improve the product experience for our customers and working closely with various Music finance counterparts to drive automation and improve operational efficiencies.
About the team
The Amazon Music Finance team is designed to be collaborative; although each individual have clear ownership of an area(s), success typically involves partnering with our finance leads for other tiers, or specialties.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
MBA, or CPA
Knowledge of Tableau
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
