About This Role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Content Designer to join the Strategy, Digital, and Innovation team (SDI). This individual will be responsible for our Vantage Core services team.

As a Senior Content Designer, you will be responsible for defining, planning, and creating consumable, customer-centric information design and content for our B2B clients, simplifying complexity through uncomplicated information hierarchy, approachable language, and clear instruction. As part of cross-functional teams, you will inform and influence digital product strategy for customer experience outcomes through a multitude of content strategy activities and methods.

In this role, you will:

  • Create and develop customer-focused content, including UI copy, labels and definitions, in-flow and on-screen messages, and help content in compliance with channel and content standards

  • Engage across multiple teams to gather and analyze content and requirements, ensuring consistency across deliverables and considering adherence to Wells Fargo style and brand standards

  • Apply a deep understanding of content design principles to develop and execute content strategies that solve complex user and business challenges

  • Collaborate with other teams, including user research to create user personas, conduct usability testing, and iterate on content

  • Estimate project scope and managing partner teams’ expectations around process, deliverables, and timelines

  • Make decisions in complex and cross-channel situations, consulting with Content Design peers, colleagues and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

  • May lead content strategy initiatives or serve as a mentor for lower-level staff

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of Graphic or Website Design experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications

  • 4+ years of UX writing experience for online and mobile products

  • Demonstrated experience with UX design processes, including User-Centered Design principles

  • Demonstrated experience creating UI content, information architecture, audits, plans, lexicons, customer facing help content, and interactive message specifications

  • UX writing experience for AI (Chatbot, Virtual Assistant)

  • Content strategy experience

  • Omni-channel (browser, tablet, smartphone) writing experience for responsive design

  • Demonstrated experience with American for Disabilities Act (ADA) accessibility compliance requirements and implications for content

  • Previous experience in financial services

  • Previous experience working with design systems and established standards

  • Proficiency with Figma/FigJam, Confluence, JIRA, MS Teams, and standard browsers/office productivity tools

  • Portfolio being able to showcase your work

Job Expectations:

  • Candidates must be willing to work on site in New York, NY (Midtown Manhattan). Charlotte, NC (Uptown location), or San Francisco, CA (Financial District)

Pay Range for New York, NY: $100,800.00 - $179,200.00 USD Annual

Pay Range for San Francisco, CA: $100,800.00 - $179,200.00 USD Annual

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
