We are on the lookout for a diligent Payroll Specialist to join our team in San Francisco, California. As part of your role, you will be tasked with conducting comprehensive research into local tax agencies, maintaining meticulous records, and providing support for audit projects. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity and will be conducted remotely.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of the research conducted

• Provide support for audit projects when necessary

• Process detailed data, including screenshots, special fields, and payment methods for each agency

• Use communication skills to gather information via phone calls as many agencies may not have websites

• Analyze agency portals to identify missing information and track it effectively

• Ensure accurate data entry and maintain high-quality standards throughout

• Use your knowledge of payroll taxes to understand and navigate online tax agency websites and portals

• Utilize your expertise in local payroll tax to guide your research and data entry tasks

Requirements

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a payroll taxes and compliance

• Proficient in local payroll tax regulations and processes.

• Demonstrated knowledge of payroll taxes and related reporting.

• Previous experience in auditing, specifically in relation to payroll.

• Skilled in data entry with high accuracy and attention to detail.

• Strong computer research skills to effectively resolve payroll discrepancies and issues.
