Job description :

This is a leadership role at frog. In this role you are expected to help frog grow its reputation, business and people through in our Data Practice across a cross-function team of designers, strategist, and engineers/scientists.

As Executive Director of Customer Data Strategy, you’ll bring your unique mix of creativity, technical acumen, and business sense to leverage data to derive insights and help our teams act on those insights both directly and in support of our processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • As the Executive Director of Customer Data Strategy, you will nurture and coach your team, structure and sell consulting engagements to frog clients, and partner with peers in other disciplines to ensure we deliver high quality work to our clients.

  • You will work closely with our other disciplines in helping define AI capabilities and roles for customers.

  • Further, you will help develop the strategic design of the use of data and development of the data ecosystem.This will help many of our clients transform their business models towards that of a data-driven business

  • Your people responsibilities include recruiting, mentoring, motivating, and retaining your team. You will train them in how to leverage data to derive insights, integrate data into our design processes, and work with our technologists through data instrumentation to actively help build an inclusive studio culture that allows your team to do their best work.You will help our teams design and execute strategy and transformation projects and leading them to success.

  • You will help expand frog business working closely with our clients to understand their needs, and then define consulting engagement to help them.You will lead pitch meetings where you present all of frog’s capabilities and negotiate program scope and fees. You will be a trusted advisor to a network of client executives and maintain those relationships beyond immediate projects.You will research, publish, and speak in public forum on topics related to frog’s work, such as innovation, data strategy, data driven insights and trends to drive interest in frog.

  • You will contribute to program delivery, either as the engagement leader on major programs or by offering insights and best practices to engagement teams. This involves guiding teams of product managers, strategists, designers, technologists, and program managers and critiquing their work to drive high quality output.

  • You will advocate for the data practice within frog and support the expansion this offering across North America.

As an Executive Director of Customer Data Strategy we want you to have:

  • 12 years of professional experience creating data services and capabilities in industry

  • A deep desire to collaborate with designers, strategists, and technologists to develop new ideas, launch amazing products, and deliver exceptional experiences

  • A track record of building and growing a Data practices within an organization including collaboration with data science and modeling

  • Experience developing motivating, mentoring, training, and support product managers to do great work

  • Experience in structuring and selling consulting engagement including crafting approaches, writing proposals, and presenting to prospective clients

  • Delivered data strategy and data-based business transformation to market at both large and small organizations and/or as a consultant

  • Implemented strategies for managing and supporting large or distributed data team

  • Experience hiring data scientists and scientists working with talent acquistion as a hiring manager

Additionally, we want you to have:

  • Been part of managing digital products from concept through production rollout

  • Profound expertise in the conception and implementation of innovative data and analytics solutions, preferably in the areas of customer, marketing and sales

  • Expertise in using data to improve areas such as customer experience, loyalty, customer satisfaction, and customer lifetime value, e.g. through segmentation, personalization or intelligent recommendations

  • Combined technological understanding, strategic analysis and implementation work

  • Worked on products with multiple, parallel tracks of work

  • Designed and facilitated workshops for all levels of stakeholders

  • Strong presentation, communication and storytelling skills

  • A willingness to travel for key client meetings

It would be a bonus if you had:

  • Helped create and take AI models to market

  • Worked and understand regulated markets such as Finance or Healthcare

  • Published thought leadership, with a track record of presenting and teaching in public forums and a social media presence

  • Experience working in a creative environment with designers, and an interest in human-centered design
