Responsibilities : Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. Lead the implementation of cloud infrastructure and architectural designs, ensuring alignment with established plans. Strategize, architect, design, and execute end-to-end CI/CD pipelines and diverse automation workflows to enhance operational efficiency. Maintain a steadfast commitment to security by seamlessly integrating best practices and cutting-edge tools into cloud assets and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Deploy scalable and fortified cloud and network assets, guaranteeing a secure and high-performing environment. Integrate rigorous testing and code quality checks into pre-deployment workflows, ensuring the reliability of deployment processes. Produce infrastructure scripts and code (IaC) to optimize the efficiency and resilience of cloud infrastructure builds. Provide pre- and post-sale support to Sales and Operations teams, contributing to successful customer engagements. Leverage scripting languages such as Python, Node.js, Ruby, Perl, and Bash to create custom tools when needed, enhancing automation and efficiency. Demonstrate a solid understanding of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and network virtualization, facilitating informed decision-making in network design and management. Collaborate effectively and professionally with diverse teams, including development, quality assurance, and management, to ensure seamless project execution. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States. Telecommuting is permitted.

Minimum Requirements : Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a computer software-related occupation. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States. Telecommuting is permitted.

Special Requirements : Position requires at least two (2) years of experience in each of the following skills:

  • Utilize knowledge of managing AWS-hosted environments, specifically in CodePipelines, CodeBuild, and all AWS managed technologies and Serverless resources

  • Advanced knowledge of diverse technical stacks, showcasing a profound understanding of networking technologies, systems architecture, redundant infrastructure, and the design/implementation of multi-tenant SaaS products

  • Utilize knowledge of Source Code Management (SCM) tools, including Git and GitHub

Position requires some experience in each of the following skills:

  • In-depth hands-on experience in DevOps working with SaaS and Serverless architecture

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

  • Utilize knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps to work with pipelines, pipeline templates, security models and agent pools

  • Extensive experience in creation and management of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), with a focus on AWS CDK, Serverless Framework, AWS CloudFormation, and HashiCorp Terraform

  • Proven experience in working with third-party database products such as Atlas MongoDB and Snowflake

  • Proven experience in working with third-party observability products such as Datadog and Splunk

  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or equivalent.

  • Practical experience working with third-party products such as Datadog, Atlas MongoDB, Snowflake, LaunchDarkly, and Auth0.

  • Proven track record in delivering real-time distributed computing systems, ideally in a SaaS environment, utilizing micro-services and serverless architecture and leveraging message bus technology

  • Proven expertise in DevSecOps and implementing cloud-based security best practices. Including but not limited to network security, code quality and security analysis, Web Application Firewall (WAF) and edge security, Single Sign-On (SSO) integration, Key rotation, etc.

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $180,960 - $194,600/year. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
