Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: San Francisco; Hybrid (2 days onsite)

Based in San Francisco, this innovative company invests in environmental assets and unique commodities, blending traditional strategies with modern approaches in equity, project finance, and commodity trading.

This role offers a clear path to becoming CFO, providing autonomy and the opportunity to make a lasting impact.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify accounting deliverables provided by external service providers.

• Supervise fund accounting, performance tracking, and financial operations for both the investment funds and the management company.

• Partner with investment, trading, and compliance teams to design and implement portfolio oversight, financial efficiency strategies, and operational policies.

• Oversee year-end tax reporting and accounting activities.

  Requirements

• Experience in hedge funds (in a startup is a huge plus!)

• Extensive experience in leading financial and operational management for hedge funds.

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting

• CPA (not needed, but huge plus)

• Have interest and familiarity with environmental commodities.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• Collaborative in a start-up environment
