Amazon Cloud Platform Engineer - eero, eero in San Francisco, California

We live in a connected world and WiFi has become a critical component to every home. eero is the first company to deliver a whole home WiFi experience using mesh technology to make sure you never have to worry about WiFi ever again.

eero's cloud is the central coordinator of our system, responsible for both individual network management and large-scale data.

A day in the life

  • You will write code and build infrastructure to support our cloud as we continue to manage more eeros in the field.

  • You will review code and tech specs from feature teams to ensure that features are secure, scalable, and maintainable.

  • You will help maintain eero's core cloud functionality and debug platform failures.

  • You will write tools and libraries to increase developer efficiency for cloud engineers across the company.

About the team

eero's Cloud Systems and Infrastructure team is responsible for the scalability, reliablility, observability, and maintainability goals for eero's cloud. We ensure that eero's customers have the seamless experience they expect from our product regardless of how many devices in the field we have to support. We also empower developers across the company to write, build, and deploy their changes quickly and safely.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
