The Associate Copywriter position will report to the Visual Design Lead.

As an Associate Copywriter, you will:

As an Associate Copywriter at Earnest, you will play an integral part in shaping the customer experience, helping to drive highly visible campaigns across email, social, and other mediums, and helping define and build out the Earnest brand. You'll work with all parts of the business, including design, product, content and marketing, compliance, and more to create marketing copy that will embody the brand from the first marketing touches and throughout the loan and payoff journey.

Your Impact:

  • Support the development of copy for high-visibility, high-impact projects, working closely with designers to ensure headlines and visuals work hand-in-hand and are consistent to the concept.

  • Write compelling marketing copy that builds awareness, educates consumers on the benefits of Earnest’s product, and drives them to action.

  • Produce clear and compelling copy in the Earnest brand voice for our website, landing pages, performance marketing channels, and within the product.

  • Work closely with teams (Marketing, Design, Product, and Compliance teams), understanding business partners and their marketing objectives.

  • Be able to collaborate on a project so that the best results are achieved.

  • Provide creative support in developing a consistent brand voice.

  • Support copywriters during peak workload periods, ability to pivot quickly and catch curveballs.

  • Engage with high-level copy strategic projects like copy mapping, audits, and copy optimization/A/B testing.

About You:

  • 1-3 years experience in copywriting.

  • Ability to think in campaign-oriented ways. How do things connect? You’re able to think through a long-term and cross-platform conversation with customers.

  • Ability to follow and understand product messaging houses and content calendar production schedules.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with PR, marketing, social, and product.

  • Experience working with design and digital marketing.

  • Interest in healthcare, tech, finance, or relevant market focus.

Where:

  • This role will be based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

  • While you’ll enjoy the flexibility of remote work, we also love to see our Earnies face-to-face! We ask you to join us at our Oakland office for 3 consecutive days a month for team collaboration and some fun. It's a chance to connect, share ideas, and maybe even grab some coffee together!

A little about our pay philosophy: We take pride in compensating our employees fairly and equitably. We are showcasing a range of your potential base salary. The successful candidate’s starting pay will also be determined based on job-related qualifications, internal compensation, and budget. This range may be modified in the future.

Pay Range

$84,000—$95,000 USD
