Description

A law firm based in San Francisco is seeking a diligent litigation associate to join their general liability practice group. The preferred candidate should have prior experience in representing both design and miscellaneous professionals. Strong writing, oral advocacy skills, and comprehensive experience in discovery and law and motion practice are inherent requirements for this role. The candidate must be proactive, well-organized, able to manage multiple client relationships, and able to integrate seamlessly into the firm's workflow.

As a litigation associate, you'll be expected to:

• Work with clients to determine legal solutions and devise the best course of action

• Attend various legal proceedings, conduct legal research, and collaborate with senior attorneys to provide informed legal advice

• Draft and prepare correspondence and legal documents like contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings

• Ensure efficient case management through communication with partners, associates, paralegals, and clients

• Maintain organized files to ensure up-to-date case information is readily accessible to colleagues

The ideal candidate should have:

• Proficient communication and problem-solving abilities to work effectively with all levels of staff and clients

• The ability to collaborate with partners and other attorneys for optimal client service and potential client base expansion

• An active ABA (American Bar Association) membership and be in good standing

• Cleared the bar exam

• A Juris Doctor (JD degree) from an accredited law school
