BAE Systems is looking for an experienced Software Test Engineer to work on a multi-disciplinary team in an Agile, fast-paced development environment. This candidate will support the planning and ongoing support for the development, integration, test, deployment, and sustainment of an archive and dissemination system. Assigned tasks may include the development of Test Plans, Test Procedures, Integration, Regression Testing, Deploying software into a continuous integration environment, and requirement sell-off. The Test Engineer will coordinate with the Technical Team to accomplish program tasks, provide technical solutions, and support system integration on the program.

The ideal candidate will have experience with installation, testing and integration of complex and large software development projects. This position requires support of customer meetings and operational system deployment and support activities.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed fulltime on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Must have an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance

  • Experience with software integration and test processes for software development programs

  • Experience with requirements verification and stakeholder validation for software transition to Operational System

  • Experience with agile development processes, including program planning and conducting feature demonstrations to customers

  • The ability to engage constructively with peers and technical leads to communicate the technical approach, trade-offs, and technical decisions

  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)

  • Understanding and application of modern software development and systems engineering practices, design principles, techniques, and technologies

  • Highly motivated and able to work well in both team and solo settings

  • Capable of writing detailed test procedures

  • Capable of learning new systems quickly

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Experience with the JMeter Test Automation Tool is highly desired

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering/technical discipline, and 5 years related experience or equivalent experience, training and/or certifications

  • Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic/collaborative environment

  • Motivated self-starter with strong problem solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability

  • Ability to develop improved methods to increase program efficiency

  • Strong oral and written communications skills

  • Good planning and organizational skills

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $126610 - $215270

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
