Description We are looking for a meticulous and focused Staff Accountant to work onsite in San Diego, California. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for a range of accounting duties, including transaction postings, processing and posting of daily funds receipts, and assisting with the stocks donation process. This role offers a contract employment opportunity in the industry of accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Process and post daily funds receipts including cash, checks, credit card, and wires

• Process and post accounts payable invoices when required

• Process payment to vendors when required

• Post electronic payments

• Process billing to Parishes and Schools

• Assist with the stocks donation process

• Handle a large volume of reconciliation for Parishes and Schools FOD and loans

• Handle multi-tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment

• Utilize software such as Microsoft Excel and Great Plains (GPAC) to manage and analyze data

• Prepare and post journal entries and perform ledger reconciliations. Requirements • Possession of a minimum of 1 year of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for performing daily tasks.

• Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) accounting software will be a significant advantage.

• Experience in intercompany accounting is required for this role.

• Ability to perform ledger reconciliations accurately and efficiently.

• Demonstrated experience in preparing and maintaining journal entries.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• High attention to detail and accuracy in work.

• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.

• Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.

• Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
