Robert Half Sr. Compliance Specialist in San Diego, California

Description We are in search of a Sr. Compliance Specialist to join our team based in San Diego, California. This role is primarily focused on ensuring labor compliance across our projects, reviewing payroll, and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders and contractors. As a Sr. Compliance Specialist, you will also be tasked with conducting audits, preparing reports, and providing training in labor compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Review and approve certified payroll for both internal and external projects.

• Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations, keeping abreast of any changes that may impact company policies and practices.

• Analyze public and private contracts for labor-related conditions and collaborate with project teams to create compliance plans.

• Conduct regular compliance audits on projects and prepare detailed audit reports.

• Recommend corrective actions based on audit outcomes.

• Assist in any third-party or government audits, coordinating with the relevant departments.

• Verify payroll, benefits, training contributions, and apprenticeship documentation for compliance with regulations.

• Issue requests for missing or revised documents and coordinate with contractor representatives to ensure compliance.

• Serve as the main point of contact for labor compliance inquiries and concerns.

• Investigate complaints regarding labor and wage violations and collaborate with legal teams and project management to resolve them.

• Prepare and submit required reports to federal and state bodies. Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in a compliance role

• Proficient in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Knowledge of ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode is required

• Familiarity with Ceridian and Crystal Reports is essential

• Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration is necessary

• Proficient in About Time software

• Must be capable of handling Accounting Functions

• Auditing skills are required

• Must be able to manage Benefit Functions

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent time management and organizational abilities

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
