Amazon Senior Software Engineer, ML & AI, Amazon Games in San Diego, California

Description

We are in the business of building data solutions that allow us, and our partner teams, to apply data in order to improve experiences for our players. This role will directly be responsible for driving our applied AI initiatives.

Key job responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing AI & ML systems and products, including generative AI products and applications.

You will research and prototype models and solutions in various AI & ML domains, and drive those to production.

About the team

AGS Data & AI engineering team is a multi-discipline team, in which we own data solutions end-to-end: from telemetry and ingestion, to warehousing, analytics platforms, and ML infrastructure and deployment.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience

  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

  • 5+ years of Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience

  • Experience in designing, and deploying ML infrastructure, systems, and products

  • Experience with RL, DRL, and distributed ML architectures

  • Experience with designing and deploying services and products that leverage generative AI models

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
