Our team is responsible for the development of CoStar's customer-facing Real Estate Analytics products. We think big, creating innovative data-intensive applications that take the vast amount of data collected by our CoStar Research teams to create a fast, reliable, and intuitive analytics platform for our customers. We are a collaborative software development group working to create the future of Real Estate Analytics.

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Quality Assurance to join the team and take full ownership in ensuring that the software products we deliver meet our high standards of quality and reliability. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in quality assurance practices, managing and scaling high performing teams, and a strong understanding of technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, implement, and report on a comprehensive QA strategy for testing data driven applications, aligning with company goals and industry best practices.

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a growing team of QA professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and excellence.

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and reporting of testing activities, including functional, performance, and stability tests.

  • Drive the adoption of new QA methodologies, tools, and technologies to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Identify potential risks in the software development lifecycle and work to mitigate them.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and business stakeholders, to ensure quality standards are met.

  • Develop and implement a test automation strategy to increase testing efficiency and coverage.

  • Act as the advocate for the customer within the development process, ensuring that customer needs and expectations are understood and met. This can include analyzing customer feedback to inform testing priorities and quality standards.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, including SOC

  • Become an expert in the products we are building and how they fit into the broader CoStar product platform.

  • Collaborate with Development and DevOps leaders to oversee the regular release of our work to production.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or a related field.

  • 8+ years of hands-on Software Quality Assurance experience, testing large, complex web applications.

  • An additional 5+ years of experience leading multiple Software Quality Assurance teams.

  • Experience driving adoption of Software Quality Assurance best practices across various teams and roles.

  • Knowledge of test automation tools and technologies, and how to effectively leverage them in your overall testing strategy.

  • Track record of successful collaboration with software development teams in an agile environment

  • Detail-oriented, with clear written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong leadership and mentorship abilities, including the ability to hire and retain high-performance Software Quality Assurance professionals.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Skill with programming languages such as C# or Python are a plus.

  • Hands on experience building test automation solutions is a plus.

  • Experience managing managers is a plus.

  • Experience testing financial software systems.

  • Experience working on a software platform with a SOC 2 certification.

This position offers a base salary range of $150,000 - $260,000, based on relevant skills and experience and includes a generous bonus and benefits plan.
