You will work with RFIC circuit designers and system integration engineers to validate major RF cellular system performance.
Description
As an RFIC validation engineer, you will engage in the key task of crafting, developing, and testing that cellular SoCs implement designs to their specification. This work includes understanding design specifications and schematics and using highly niche test platforms to validate accurate operations of the RFIC. Tasks will include working with scripting languages in conjunction with embedded FW to confirm functionality and evaluate the performance of RF Cellular SoCs.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience with bringing up and testing RFIC, performing system bring up, characterization and optimization.
Experience in end-to-end mmWave RF measurements, as well as block level debugging such as LNAs, Mixers, Amplifiers, PLLs, VCOs, ADCs, DACs and DSP blocks.
Bench Automation experience and proficiency with measurement automation tools and scripting languages, such as Python.
Experience with lab equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, phase noise analyzers, oscilloscopes etc.
Proven verification skills in problem-solving and debugging, especially in mmWave technology.
BS and 3+ years of relevant industry experience required.

Preferred Qualifications
Excellent ability to collaborate with different teams (IC Design, RF Systems, Firmware, and HW teams) within Apple.
Good understanding of board schematics, layout. Experience with defining HW board requirements for validation board.
Experience supporting ATE engineers and on mass production would be plus.
Experience with DSP or PHY Verification would be useful.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
