Summary:
Meta Reality Labs brings together world-class experts to develop and ship groundbreaking products at the intersection of hardware, software, and content. The Reality Labs Wireless New Technology Introduction Team is looking for a research scientist to drive the state-of-the-art in wireless technology for AR/VR products.
Required Skills:
Research Scientist, Wireless (PhD) Responsibilities:
Research, develop and prototype wireless technologies for sensing and/or communication in AR/VR devices
Build strong relationships with product, research, and other cross-functional teams and execute on hardware and code deliverables
Develop hardware platforms and software infrastructure to accelerate research and development
Build technology demonstrations and communicate results to a wide range of audiences
Minimum Qualifications:

Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta
Prior research experience to one or more of the following areas: Electromagnetics and antenna technology, Radio-frequency systems, Signal processing and machine learning
Experience in at least one machine learning platform (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, MATLAB Deep Learning Toolbox or equivalent)
Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Experience communicating complex research in a clear, concise and actionable manner
Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, as well as first-authored publications
Hands-on experience with signal processing, data analysis, machine learning models, or platform development in radar, lidar or equivalent
Familiarity with VR, MR, and AR platforms
Experience working and communicating cross-functionally in a team environment.
Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, as well as first-authored publications at leading workshops or conferences.
Public Compensation:
$117,000/year to $173,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
