BAE Systems Production Control Supervisor in San Diego, California
Job Description
The Production Controls Supervisor will support production readiness, work authorization, and materials and service planning activities for our San Diego Ship Repair business. In this role, you will support the controlling, coordinating, and prioritizing the flow of material in operations. This position will support the execution of strategies and initiatives to ensure product is coordinated, monitored, and completed for the availability according to schedule and demands.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Evaluate production schedule and coordinate the availability
Coordinate with material requirements teams to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials meet production requirement
Confirm resources and capabilities are optimized to meet material supply and demand
Prepare work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts
Advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problem
Schedule equipment and personnel to meet production demand
Coordinate with Leadership to resolve production planning and control issues and provide corrective actions
Ensure compliance with all company and OSHA regulated safety, environmental, and ethical requirements/standards
Support the execution of Lean and Six Sigma through the application of continuous improvement and waste elimination efforts throughout the department
Utilize Material Resource Planning (MRP) system to accurately plan production resources
Support the training and development of team
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of equivalent experience
Experience in Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Ship Repair, or related
Ability to support production planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and controlling
Ability to support process improvements and organizational change
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $78760 - $133870
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
