Rady Children's Hospital San Diego Manager, Business Development – Genomics - Research Initiatives in San Diego, California
JOB SUMMARY:
The Business Development Manager will enhance RCIGM's market presence and revenue generating capacity by developing and supporting external partnerships. The role is responsible for expansion of existing partnerships as well as identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and executing on new partnerships to expand access to RCIGM rWGS and driving the forecasted 200-250% increase in monthly case volume and revenue respectively.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree
8 years of experience
Alignment with RCIGM values and culture
PhD with 3+ years of commercial experience in related industry, MBA with 3+ years in related industry, or BS with 8+ years of customer-facing experience in related industry
Experience negotiating and implementing partnerships
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
Comfortable owning projects; capable of effectively managing and prioritizing multiple projects and driving projects from start to finish
Expertise using CRM for client management and activity reporting
Strong interpersonal skills support ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders with diverse functions and backgrounds
Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to create and deliver effective partner-facing presentations
Ability to travel up to 25%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctorate Degree (non MD)
Master’s Degree
Understanding of clinical genomics market and technologies
Sell-side BD experience, ideally selling into hospitals
Understanding of complexity of payer/provider business relationships related to inpatient care
The current salary range for this position is $64.37 to $88.51
