Responsibilities You will perform needs analyses to define opportunities for new or improved business process solutions, and evaluate the feasibility of proposed new and/or re-engineered systems analysis development projects. You will consult with customers to identify and specify requirements, and develop overall functional and systems requirements and specifications. You will address system inconsistencies, system redundancies, priorities, conflicts, maximize the sharing of information, and prepare business cases for the application of IT solutions. You will document and solve design and development problems encountered during testing and/or implementation. You will technically review completed work projects and provide technical assistance and guidance as required. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying analytical techniques to plan, design, and implement new or improved information systems to meet business requirements for an organization; 2) Advising others on the merits of proposed or re-engineered system development projects; 3) Serving as a technical specialist for application development, implementation, and maintenance of IT system services/activities; and 4) Gathering, assembling, and analyzing data to translate information and develop IT solutions. Your experience in the information technology field must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. This position may be subject to work an uncommon tour, including call backs to meet mission requirements. Overtime may be required.
