(G2SS) is seeking a self-directed and motivated Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to provide Information Assurance (IA) support for dynamic Department of Defense (DoD) programs. If you have expertise in RMF processes, IAVA/STIG compliance, and developing secure IT solutions, this role is for you!

As an RMF Security Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the U.S. governments cybersecurity posture by implementing and maintaining secure IT environments. Your work will ensure operationally relevant systems remain compliant with DoD standards while contributing to national defense.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Support the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and create necessary artifacts for installation, testing, and documentation of IAVAs and STIG implementations.
  • Analyze IAVAs and STIGs to assess their operational impact on applications and systems.
  • Apply DISA STIGs to ensure cybersecurity compliance.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and optimization.
  • Administer Windows OS systems, including Active Directory, multiple NICs, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
  • Build and administer Defense Information System Agency (DISA) ePO servers to enforce Host Based Security System (HBSS) compliance.
  • Perform scanning and patching of Windows OS and network devices in operational environments.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of documentation for IA processes and compliance efforts.

What Youll Need:

  • Bachelors degree in information technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as an Information Systems Security Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in administering Windows OS systems and maintaining secure configurations.
  • Knowledge of Program Protection Plans, Security Classification Guides, and Supply Chain Risk Management.
  • Ability to ensure STIG compliance across systems.
  • Familiarity with LGPO tools, VMWare, and DameWare.
  • S. Citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications to qualify as CSWF IAT Level 2 (e.g., CompTIA Security+).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and RMF documentation tools.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to navigate each department at the assigned facility.

Location:

This is a full-time hybrid position based in San Diego, CA, with less than 5% travel. Youll enjoy the flexibility of working from home while also engaging with the team in person at the client site twice per week and additional days as needed.

Compensation and Benefits:

The compensation range for this position in California is $120,000/year to $150,000/year, depending on your expertise, market location conditions, and government contract specifics.
