We are currently seeking talented individuals for our Hydraulic Hose Assembler/ Welder position!

Here is some of what you’ll do…

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under minimal direct supervision of the Parts Operations Manager or the Warehouse Supervisor, the Hydraulic Hose Assembler/ Welder manufactures hydraulic hoses or general warehouse duties. Additionally, this position operates an automated welding table to support the overall parts sales growth of ground engaging tools.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Hose Bench

  • Manufactures hydraulic hoses per sample and by build sheet.

  • Performs general warehouse tasks.

  • Provides any needed customer assistance.

  • Fills orders for customers and shop.

  • Delivers parts.

  • Performs general cleaning duties.

  • Assists with warehouse rearrangements.

  • Locates parts.

  • Loads and unloads trucks.

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

  • ARM Automation Table / Welding:

  • Responsible for set-up, maintenance and operation of automated welding equipment.

  • Use overhead cranes to mount, align, and secure tooling, attachments and workpieces.

  • Apply principles of basic welding fundamentals, symbols and blueprints.

  • Identify and perform correct robotic welding parameters, procedures and operation.

  • Read and understand blueprints or drawings prior to starting a project.

  • Source the materials to be used in a project.

  • Measure and cut materials to specifications.

  • Weld materials utilizing the correct volume of material to join the metals together.

  • Perform visual inspections during welding using various tools to check for weld defects.

  • Check finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints/drawings.

  • Follow companies’ safety policies, procedures and instructions while keeping a safe work area.

  • Utilize proper PPE to perform essential job functions.

  • Provide any needed customer assistance.

  • Fill orders for customers and dealer inventory when needed.

  • Perform stock receipting.

  • Order packing.

  • Assists with shop rearrangements.

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Must have a valid California Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Must have understanding of general warehouse duties.

  • Must be able to obtain a valid forklift certificate.

  • Experience in assembling hydraulic hoses, preferably Caterpillar hoses.

  • Experience in quality control or inspection of machine parts preferred.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Walking and moving about on foot often through uneven terrain.

  • Handling: Works with hands.

  • Lifting: Raises or lowers miscellaneous equipment parts. May lift up to 60 lbs. with frequent exertion.

  • Reaching: Extends hands and arms in any direction.

  • Stooping: Bends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waist.

  • Standing: Remains in standing position If required to perform various functions of the job.

  • Climbing: In and out of equipment.

  • Vision: Reads work tickets and parts books.

  • Talking: Communicates via telecommunications and in person.

  • Sitting: Sits in equipment and in vehicles.

    ENVIRONMENTAL:

  • Noise: Works in conditions with constant or intermittent noise.

  • Temp/Weather: Works in a warehouse and outside with variations of temperature and weather.

  • Exposure: Foul odors, fumes and harsh substances.
