Description
Robert Half is working with a valued client to hire a welcoming and professional Front Desk Receptionist. This role is vital to ensuring the office operates smoothly and providing an excellent first impression for visitors and clients. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and organizational skills, a customer-service mindset, and the ability to manage front desk responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet all visitors, clients, and employees in a professional and friendly manner, creating a positive first impression.
Answer and direct incoming phone calls promptly and accurately; handle inquiries or forward calls to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and lobby area.
Schedule appointments, maintain calendars, and assist with meeting room coordination when necessary.
Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages, ensuring timely distribution and tracking as required.
Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining office records.
Monitor office supply levels and coordinate with relevant teams to replenish inventory as needed.
Support internal teams in ad-hoc tasks, projects, and general office duties to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
Experience: 1+ years of experience in a similar front desk, receptionist, or administrative role.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in office administration or related fields is a plus.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with office equipment such as phones, printers, and copiers.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Organization: Strong attention to detail and an ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to challenges, with the ability to make decisions independently when necessary.
Customer Focus: A service-oriented mindset with the ability to work with diverse clients, visitors, and employees.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a corporate office environment or industries such as healthcare, legal, or hospitality.
Familiarity with scheduling software or office management tools.
Bilingual skills are a plus, depending on client needs.
