Girl Scouts San Diego Creative Projects Manager in San Diego, California
Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Creative Projects Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and execution of creative and graphic design needs, including the conceptualizing, developing, planning, and creating processes. This role oversees all creative elements for both print and digital marketing campaigns to promote services, events, and compelling stories offered by Girl Scouts San Diego.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees the development and schedule of all creative materials for our internal and external audiences - from concept to completion
Supervises and designs all GSSD publications, including board reports, annual reports, brochures, programs, newsletters, flyers, signage, merchandise, and more
Leads the development of digital assets for our online marketing platforms, including social, email, and website
Spearheads the development of creative themes and visions for GSSD events, including large-scale events like Cool Women, Volunteer Conference, and Operation Thin Mint
Collaborates with the Director of Marketing and Communications, senior management team, and other departments to effectively plan marketing campaigns and/or develop creative assets
Manages relationships with external vendors, such as printers, mail houses, suppliers, and others as needed
Responsible for managing employees and maintaining a budget
Carry out additional assignments as required to meet department or organization goals and objectives
Understands the importance of Brand Guidelines and knows how to maintain a consistent brand across all platforms
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, graphic design, advertising, or related curriculum
Minimum 5 years of professional working experience in marketing or related field
Supervisory/management experience
Must have outstanding communication, teamwork, collaboration, and project management skills
Knowledge of project management and email marketing software (preferably Salesforce Marketing)
Creative mindset and a can-do attitude
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (AEM, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience updating and maintaining websites with knowledge of coding
Graphic design experience is a must; photography and video editing experience are a plus
Able to work occasional evenings and weekends
Belief in the mission and values of Girl Scouting; be willing to subscribe to the principles expressed in the Promise and Law.
Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and access to reliable transportation. Occasional travel will be required.
This is a hybrid position; employees work in the office at least three days per week with the option of working remotely two days.
The hiring salary range is $73,000 - $76,000.
